Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

This policy covers In Someone Else's Shoes, a free historical financial life simulation: the browser games at malikabyl.github.io/in-someone-elses-shoes (USA 1971–1991 and Japan 1980–2005), the iPhone app with the same games, and the ChatGPT app that plays the same games through our MCP service at someone-elses-shoes-mcp.someone-elses-shoes-mcp.workers.dev. It is published by ND SaaS Solutions LLP (ТОО «ND SaaS Solutions»), Kazakhstan (“we”). It does not cover any other product of the company.

In short: no account, no payment, no name or email is asked for. Browser and iPhone progress stays on your device; the iPhone app collects nothing. The chat version stores only the simulated game, under a random session ID, and deletes it automatically 30 days after its last change — or immediately when you ask ChatGPT to delete the game. Visits to the browser games are counted with cookie-free GoatCounter statistics. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.

1. Browser games

2. ChatGPT app (MCP service)

When you play in ChatGPT, ChatGPT sends tool requests to our MCP service on Cloudflare Workers. We receive the tool arguments: country, profession, game actions and amounts, the random session ID and request IDs. We do not ask for your name, email, payment details or chat history. ChatGPT may attach its own metadata to requests (for example locale); our service does not store it — only the tool arguments above are used.

For each game we store, in a Cloudflare Durable Object: the simulated game state (career, money, holdings, quarter history and events) and the results of up to 100 recent actions, so that a repeated request is not executed twice. Sessions are identified only by a random 128-bit ID created when the game starts.

Our code does not write request logs, and as of 22 October 2026 Cloudflare Workers Logs and Logpush are not enabled for this service. Cloudflare, as the infrastructure provider, processes the network data of incoming requests (which come from ChatGPT's servers) and shows us aggregate usage metrics.

How ChatGPT itself handles your conversations is governed by OpenAI's policies.

3. iPhone app

The iPhone app contains the same two games and runs them from files inside the app, without a server.

4. Why we use the data

We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or build profiles of players.

5. How long it is kept
